Guest Art Exhibits
The Roosevelt Center hosts guest artists in our Rotating Exhibit areas around the building.

Our current exhibit features Janice Marie Polzin, Places & Things through December on second floorand Faith Rumm, Messages from the Thunder Beings through October on first floor.
Janice Marie Polzin is a Montana based artist and art educator. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, she settled into the Red Lodge area in 2015. As an active artist, her work can be seen in gallery exhibitions, private commissions and large-scale
public murals. Janice’s murals can be found in Red Lodge, Roberts, Billings, Bozeman and Polebridge Montana. As an educator, she serves several rural communities, bringing the joy of the arts to Montana’s youth. As a community member, she offers
her artistic skills to several foundations and organizations. Visual art and creativity is the foundation of how she relates with the world. Ever growing and constantly curious, she is a formally trained artist with degrees in Fine Art and Art Education.
The paintings created by Janice are always evolving but the themes of landscape, abstraction and human experience are interwoven in all of her work. Read more about Janice on her website: www.janicemariepolzin.com or Facebook: Makin’ Marks: Janice Marie Polzin Instagram: art.ms.j

Faith Rumm’s “Messages from the Thunder Beings” exhibit is being held over through the month of October. This body of work results from several years of intent observation of Montana big skies. Rumm uses her almost-daily 40 minute commute from Absarokee to her Roosevelt studio in Red Lodge to scrutinize the sky and watch changes, often stopping to take photos for reference. These observations and other travels in the west have spurred an artistic deep-dive into skyscape dramatic expressions and moods.

Building hours are 9 am to 5 pm, Monday - Friday. If your are interested in becoming a guest artist, please contact Pat Olding.
